La función de drenaje del paquete de placas (también denominada función de inundación) es un sistema de gestión del filtrado que se utiliza cuando el sistema de descarga del filtrado es del tipo “colector cerrado”.
Esta opción proporciona precisamente una descarga de filtrado de colector cerrado común: los 4 orificios de salida de filtrado (que a veces pueden ser 2 en máquinas más pequeñas) se combinan en un único colector.
En el tubo de salida inferior del filtro prensa se coloca una válvula (denominada válvula de inundación o válvula de drenaje) cuya apertura se controla mediante un PLC.

The plate pack drainage function (also called the flood function) is a filtration management system that is used when the filtrate drain system is of the “closed collector” type.
This option is infact made by a common discharge of the filtrate: the 4 outlet holes of the filtrate (which can sometimes be 2 in smaller machines) are combined in a single collector.
A valve (called flooding valve or drain valve) is placed in the lower discharge piping of the filter press, whose opening is controlled by the PLC.
This opening occurs when usually 3/4 bar of filtration pressure is reached.
Before this pressure threshold is reached, the filtrate comes out only from the 2 upper holes of the filter plate and therefore from the upper manifold.
Con este sistema, se asegura el llenado total de la cámara de filtración y se forma el preanillo, lo que ayuda enormemente a la separación final de la torta, además de permitir un aumento del contenido seco de la torta residual.
Cuando se alcanza la presión de alimentación de 3/4 bar, se controla la válvula y el filtrado puede salir por todos los orificios de drenaje de la placa filtrante.
