AUTOMATIC FILTERPRESS

WITH ONE BY ONE OPENING SYSTEM

This model of filter press automatically manages the filtration cycle.

The presence of probes and sensors that measure the fundamental values of the filtration cycle allows total automation of the filtration.

It is also possible to change and customize the operating parameters in order to obtain the best filtration cycle for the type of sludge being processed: the PLC together with the HMI allows rapid modification of the process variables.

The opening of each filtering plate at the end of the cycle is also automatic and takes place by means of a special pair of carriages with hooks.
The two carriages pick up a single plate at a time (one by one) and bring it to the open position.

As an optional extra, the carriage can be equipped with a system for shaking the plates once they have been picked up.

This type of machine is particularly suitable for sludges that are difficult to filter, with long filtering times and that have the tendency to stick during opening. The automatic plate shaking system allows the sludge that has remained attached to the cloths to fall off and detach.

AVAILABLE OPTIONALS

Mixed safety protections consist of a pair of light curtains on the operator side and a fixed polycarbonate panel with a painted carbon steel support structure.

Installation of light curtains on both sides of the machine (operator and opposite). Facilitates maximum accessibility of the machine.

When you want to provide shelter from splashes that may occur during washing or you want to protect the operator from sludge leakage, you should install sliding guards on both sides.

Process of membrane squeezing inside the plates (these plates are specially designed for this purpose). It is useful to increase the % dryness that can be obtained with the standard filtration process.

With this kind of discharge, the filtrate comes out from the lower part of the plate and through a curve is conveyed into an open tray to collect the filtrate. This solution is not suitable for sludge that is difficult to filter.

In the closed collector discharge, all filtrate is conveyed into a single closed collector discharge. In combination with the drain valve, this system increases the filtration efficiency.

An automatic device used to clean the feeding piping and the feeding channel formed when the filter plates are placed together in the filterpress.

It has the function of conveying the liquid that leaks during the filtration phase into a drip channel, avoiding wetting the previously discharged pressed sludge.

Washing of the cake is used to remove any contaminants in the sludge: the washing liquid penetrates the cake inside the filter.

When you have problems detaching the cake, or want to recover a few more % dry solids, cake blowing allows you to blow the cake formed inside the filter with a high-pressure blow of air.

The plate shaking device helps the cake to fall once filtration is finished and the filterpress is opened.

In case of long plate packs, the plates are also fed from the moving head to achieve uniform filling, so as to increase the compactness of the rehydrated cake and avoid pressure imbalances in the plates. Recommended above 50 installed plates.

Automatic washing portal to be installed above the filter press to carry out high pressure water washing of the filter cloths.

It is possible to prepare the machine to increase the number of plates installed at a future moment by making a larger frame and installing a suitable spacer (to be removed when the plates are installed).

When we are filtering fluids that tend to be acidic and could give rise to vapours or fumes, it is advisable to construct a suction hood so that these vapours are extracted and evacuated to ensure the safety of the operator.

When the fluid being processed contains substances that cause deposits on the cloths, the plates can be washed with a dilute acid solution to clean the filter cloths.
