When we designed the DRAGON pump series, we focused on two concepts: operational flexibility and structural strength.
We moved away from the classic concept of moving the pumping unit by means of the connecting rod-crank system and turned to the more innovative and advantageous main hydraulic unit.
To achieve this, the Dragon series machines have been equipped with a variable displacement hydraulic pump, capable of constant power regulation, combined with a proportional hydraulic valve: this represents the heart of our ESS – “Energy Saving System”.
This means greater efficiency and appropriate consumption during operation, with excellent results in terms of energy savings and reliability compared to traditional pumps.
Compared to conventional pumps used to feed filter presses or transfer viscous and abrasive fluids under pressure, this machine can operate with constant and higher efficiency, allowing considerable savings in operating costs.
The pump is supplied with an electrical panel and PLC with the possibility of interfacing with the electrical panel of the filter press or the plant. Equipped with two inductive switches for adjusting the stroke limit and two switches for starting the acceleration/deceleration ramps to reduce water hammer. Equipped with air-oil or water-oil heat exchangers as required, thermostat and safety level switch.
The Dragon pump can be easily built and customised according to customer requirements.
The variable displacement hydraulic pump that controls the pumping piston is able to operate while keeping the power absorbed by the machine constant. In this way, it is possible to modulate the flow rate according to the pressure when, for example, in the final phase of feeding the filter press, it is not necessary to have the same flow rate as in the first phase of filling. If the same flow rate is required at all pressure ranges, a classic hydraulic pump without constant power control can be used.
