When we created Dragon pumps series we did so thinking on two concepts: flexibility of use and structural strength.
We replaced classic concept of pumping unit actuated by mechanical way and we moved into more useful and innovative hydraulic system.
In order to achieve these results, the “Dragon” series pumps had to be equipped with a proportional hydraulic valve combined with a variable flow rate pump, capable of constant power adjustment and therefore adaptable to the actual pressure requirements of the Filterpress or any other customer requirements.
This means greater efficiency and appropriate power consumption, with excellent results in terms of energy saving and reliability compared to traditional pumps. This is the heart of our ESS – “Energy Saving System”.
Furthermore, the double acting piston, around which the Dragon pumps series are builted, was designed paying particular attention to its use in pumping civil and industrial sludge with the possibility of operating in temperatures from -10 to 70°C and more.

The “Dragon ME” series represents the evolution of the Dragon piston pumps series with the addition of the membrane unit in case of pumping highly abrasive liquids.
This diaphragm system is useful when the sludge or liquid to be treated is so abrasive that the piston may be damaged during the operation.
The piston / diaphragm pumps of the “Dragon ME” series are suitable for transferring and transporting products with a high percentage of solids that are difficult to filter and drain.
To ensure perfect operation diagnostics, there are reveling sensor in case of diaphragm rupture.
The peculiarities of the hydraulic control unit are the same as those of the “Dragon” standard version, both in terms of energy saving and reliability due to the ESS – “Energy Saving System” installed.
